Happy Mother’s Day to all of the beautiful mothers out there! You guys fill our lives with love, kindness, gentleness, wiseness and generosity. I don’t know where we would be without you. For real.
I’ve been thinking about my mother for Mother’s Day for over a week now, as I know how special this day is for her. It’s always been a day where we get to acknowledge her dedication, hard work and love towards our family…she has done so much for each and every single one of us. She has basically given up her life to make our lives amazing, and she deserves at LEAST one full day of recognition and celebration. A day to let her know how much she means to us and how much we appreciate her for every little hug, kiss, word of encouragement and piece of wisdom.
I am hundreds of miles away from my mom today (as she is in Quito, Ecuador and I am in Idaho), but I know that she knows my heart will be with her the entire day (and I know the exact same goes for my siblings — they are all out of the country right now as well, so my mom will be celebrating her day with my dad, her sisters and her mom).
I adore my mom. Growing up she was my best friend, my confidant, my partner in crime and my advisor. And it’s funny, because the more I grow, the more I realize how perfect she is (who knew that was even possible).
I know a lot of families treat their mothers to Sunday Brunch on Mother’s Day, so for all of my Paleo families out there, I thought I’d share my top three favorite Paleo brunch recipes today!
