Here I am, back at it again, with the 4th of July paleo recipe-round ups. Only this one, has fifty 4th of July Paleo DESSERT recipes. Holy YUM. I know!
Yesterday’s post was all about 4th of July paleo recipes for the grill, hence the name of the blog post: Fifty 4th of July Paleo Grill Recipes. Its a great resource for party recipe ideas, so be sure to check it out!
My 4th of July grill recipes post was great, but desserts it’s where it’s at. Wouldn’t you say? Desserts are pure food magic. A well done dessert can be the icing on the cake to any event. Especially to a big event, like America’s birthday, for example; its begging for a great treat!
Speaking of the 4th…do you guys already know what you are doing to celebrate? It’s cool if you don’t yet, as I honestly think that some of the best plans are put together last minute. I was just talking to my hairdresser a few days ago about about this. We were saying that it feels like, lately, people don’t like to commit to things in advance, they wait till the very last minute to decide what to do. And we were thinking that this was because of two reasons:
1). people don’t want to feel stuck, they want flexibility and freedom
2). people have major FOMO (fear of missing out) on better plans that may come to be later on
To touch on the latter, let me give you an example so you know what I mean.
Say you and I commit to a 4th of July party a month in advance, which we are excited about at the moment and sounds like something fun to then. And then, say three days before the 4th, we get invited to an epic celebration that some of your favorite people are going to be at and that sounds a lot better than the event you’ve already said yes to. Crap, right? We’d feel stuck. Because we would really want to take part in that epic celebration we just heard about, but we couldn’t anymore due to prior commitments. See?
Oh, and another thing that is hard about committing to things in advance is that very few people know with certainty what they’ll feel like doing a month out (or even a few days out). A month out, camping may sound like the best idea ever, but then the week before camping, you’re like “oh man, I really don’t feel like camping”. Committing to things can be a somewhat tricky situation, and I’ve noticed (and so has my hairdresser) that more people are becoming less committing. Have you noticed that too? I would love to hear your guys’ observations on this!
So if you have no 4th of July plans yet, panic not. Something is sure to come up. And because folks don’t like to commit in advance, I am sure all sorts of epic celebrations will be put together last minute!
For when you do have solid 4th of July plans though, how about you bring a delicious paleo dish to wow the crowd? I have fifty 4th of July paleo dessert recipes on this blog post that you can choose from, all of which are tasty, fairly easy to make and refreshing. You can’t go wrong with any of these! Go ahead and take a looksy to decide which on one (or two) of these yummies speaks to you the most!
I will probably be making one of the no-bake bars recipes for my crew. Or a sorbet. Ahhhh — so hard to pick one! I think we are going to have a few friends over on the 4th, and I know my peeps love a good dessert, so I will probably double whichever recipe I end up going with just to make sure everyone has enough.
Let me know which one you end up making and how it turns out. Hope you all have the best 4th!
