How about a smoothie treat? One that is delicious, refreshing and nutritious!
This Paleo Blueberry Goodness Smoothie recipe is a total winner; it can help you re-energize when you’re needing an energy boost, help your muscles recover from a strenuous workout, and improve your overall health by giving your immune system a nice boost! Blueberries (which this smoothie recipe calls for) are a wonderful superfood ingredient that can do wonders for your body; all of the amazing health benefits I listed above come from blueberries. Blueberries are small, but boy are they mighty!
My Blueberry Goodness smoothie recipe is one of the 150 smoothie recipes I have in my Paleo Smoothies cookbook. If you don’t own Paleo Smoothies yet, I am giving you a little sneak peak today as to the kind of delicious drink recipes you’d be able to find inside. It is truly a great Paleo resource, as it not only gives you a ton of delicious smoothie recipes to chose from, but it also gives you an intro to the Paleo Diet, what ingredients are allowed on the Paleo Diet, why it is beneficial to drink smoothies while on the Paleo Diet, and how I personally recommend you go about making your smoothies at home. If you’re a smoothie/juice drinker (or are looking into incorporating more smoothies/juices into your diet), my Paleo Smoothies cookbook is definitely for you!
This smoothie is definitely giving me a lift today…a much needed lift. I prepared it at home after returning from our morning workout, and I can already feel a difference in my energy level. Thirty minutes after drinking my smoothie I also had a nice spinach and tilapia salad (leftovers from yesterday) — I have been on this fish kick and I am LOVING it — and well, those two little meals combined took my Sunday from good to great. I now feel like I am ready to attack all of my to-do’s and chores. I also need to go to the grocery store to grab a few items I am missing to prepare a few delicious mini lemon banana paleo bread loaves I have been craving lately (YUM, can’t wait for those to come out of the oven!)
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. If you’re needing some healthy energy or a nice boost, you now know what to do (a hint: blended blueberries)!
