These Peanut Butter Chocolate Plant Protein Bars are LIFE.
Know that if you make these, you may never see protein bars in the same light again. You’ll ban store bought ones and will only want to make them at home from then on. There, you’ve been warned! 💁🏻♀️
Naturally gluten-free, naturally sweet, perfectly chocolat-ey and nutty, containing quality protein…that’s how healthy snacking were meant to be. Our bodies crave and work best with all-natural ingredients, so why wouldn’t we give them exactly that?
Amiright, or amiright?!
Since these bars do contain peanuts, oats and plant based protein power (which contains some grains and legumes), they are not 100% Paleo. However, they ARE fully vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free. Which is great, and does make them dietary restriction friendly.
But Paleo peeps, no need to fret! Customization and substitution is always an option here. Let’s say that you don’t want to do (or can’t have) oats or peanuts…you can easily sub those with something similar.
You could sub the oats with your favorite mix of nuts and seeds, and the peanut butter with either almond or hazelnut butter. They would turn out amazing still!
These protein bars have:
- a chewy texture from the soft medjool dates;
- a nutty taste from the all-natural nut butter;
- a filling after effect from the naturally gluten-free carbs;
- a nutritious composition from the plant based protein powder;
- a complete and utter hold ON MY LIFE.
These bars were made for people who are serious about their nutrition and hard core about keeping their snacking game strong.
Here’s why I think they are so great:
- No-bake. Perfect for beginners.
- Very easy.
- Chocolate + nut butter, duh.
- A good mixture of textures: chewy and soft, yet firm.
- Not too sweet or overpowering on any account: just the necessary amount of sweetness and richness to make the whole thing amazing.
- Clean ingredients.
The protein powder I used is made from plants, and it gives you your daily dose of veggies and all the essential amino acids needed for a healthy and vibrant life. It is made from REAL FOOD, no hidden ingredients, added sugar, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors. My kind of protein powder right there.
Wanna know how I know this?
Because everyone who has tried my Peanut Butter Chocolate Plant Protein Bars wants to know how I made them. One bite and they become obsessed and amazed.
My husband freaked out, my cousin freaked out, my neighbor hugged me. LOL. I am quickly becoming the most popular girl on the block.
Also, how cute are they?

You can see I wrapped some of them in parchment paper and twine. It transformed the bars into cute bundles of joy that totally brightened my day.
This little trick instantly (and easily) converted my bars to adorable snack surprises that I was able to use to gift myself and my honey in between meals at work, and to gift to friends and loved ones “just because” to make them smile.
Nutritious, healthy, yummy, quick to make AND fun-to-gift…these just keep getting better and better, don’t they? 🙌

What is the carb count for these bars?
Hey Shay! These have 21 g. carbs per bar, mainly coming from the honey and rolled oats. If you want to reduce the carb count, simply add less honey. 🙂 Hope you love them as much as we do!
