This Wake Up to Watermelon Smoothie is one of the one hundred and fifty recipes I have in my Paleo Smoothies cookbook. I am sharing it with you today, because the weather getting warmer and I just saw watermelons being sold at my local Whole Foods yesterday (whoop whoop)! Thanks goodness, because I’ve totally been craving something refreshing to quench my thirst and soothe my body…especially after the strenuous workouts I’ve been doing lately.

Did you know that watermelon’s composition is more than 90% water? And that a 10 ounce wedge of this delicious fruit contains one-third of the recommended daily value of Vitamin A and Vitamin C? Watermelon also contains essential amino acids that can help relax blood vessels and improve your body’s circulation; because of this, it can help soothe score muscles.

Watermelon just keeps sounding better and better, doesn’t it?

If you get your hands on this juicy fruit, do yourself a favor and whip up this beautiful drink. Your healthy self will be satisfied and grateful.
