There is something about warm weather that makes me want to eat nothing but salads. I crave a light, refreshing, tasty salad more than I crave dark chocolate or black coffee…and that says a LOT.
A nice salad hits the spot and keeps me satisfied, giving me great nutrients and macros that make for a balanced nutrition. Typically, my salads will have some kind of green leaf, a nice combination of fruits and chopped vegetables, a healthy fat (like avocados, nuts or seeds) and a light homemade vinaigrette. A lot of times I’ll add grilled chicken or pan seared fish…which makes them extra, extra good!
